Hina Patel, P.E., PMP, is the President and Founder of Gravitas Engineering Group, a civil engineering and construction inspection firm focused on transportation and infrastructure. With more than 25 years of experience, Hina has held technical, project management, and executive leadership positions, including Division Vice President, with a publicly traded global fortune 500 firm. She brings a unique perspective on developing technical talent, building high-performing teams, and preparing early-career engineers for the realities of professional practice.
Before founding Gravitas, Hina spent her career leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex transportation projects. As both a former leader with a large consulting firm, and now a founder of an emerging engineering firm, she understands the challenges of preparing early career engineers for professional practice. She believes that closing the gap requires a shared commitment to create meaningful opportunities for hands-on experience, mentorship, accountability and professional growth.
