Paola Camargo serves as the Director of Outreach & Operations Support within the Office of Business Development (OBD) at NJ TRANSIT. With approximately three years of service at NJ TRANSIT, she leads outreach and business development initiatives focused on expanding opportunities for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (DVOB) firms. A key focus of her work is increasing awareness of the DBE program, encouraging qualified businesses to pursue certification, and strengthening the participation of certified firms.
Paola collaborates with community organizations and other stakeholders to connect businesses with valuable resources and opportunities. She is committed to supporting firms beyond certification by promoting capacity-building programs, technical assistance, training, financing and bonding resources, and other business development tools that strengthen their ability to compete for and successfully perform on contracts.
In addition, Paola supports the Compliance team in its day-to-day operations, working collaboratively with NJ TRANSIT Procurement to support compliance with DBE/SBE/DVOB program requirements throughout the procurement and contracting process.
Paola is dedicated to building strong partnerships and supporting the growth and long-term success of DBE and SBE/DVOB firms within the transportation industry.
